After a Pyjama Party with the Cheerleaders on Saturday night last weekend I had my first Thanksgiving meal on the following sunday with the family of my host dad. And I have to say it was really really good and a nice variety from all fastfood that we had the evenings before. Family came together, talked, played games and above all remembered all the things they were thankful for.
After a short three day week I was very thankful, that the weekend was alread

y there and on this thursday we celebrated our second Thanksgiving with the family side if my host mom. We had again lots of very good food; turkey, match potatoes, noodles, oven fresh bread, corn, beans, salad are just a few examples and on the picture you can only see the first plate I had on this day.
The day after Thanksgiving known as Black Friday was the start of Christmas time here. Everyone run into the shops in the middle of the night to get the best deals they can find. Standing up 3 am for some shoes or the christmas present for the little girl? -it is ridiculous!
Buying t

he Christmas Tree in the next morning, that means go on the tree farm and find the one that fit best into your house and cut it down by yourself; going to Walmart to buy plenty of christmas lights for in and out of the house; and going downtown to see the lighting of the big tree at the monument is all part of the experience. After saying Santa Claus hello we left to finish this succesful day with dinner at BDubs - the place with the best chicken wings and sauces I've ever eaten in my life. Not forgetting the Huckleberry Limonade - it is soo good and I definitely don't no what I'm supposed to do without this place!
I already felt like sunday and the end of the weekend, but I'm glad that it was only friday night and the weekend was just about to start. I will see what else is waiting for me until I have to go back to school on monday. But one thing I know already for sure - I love Thanksgiving (:

Happy Family
